The benessere is not only built through what we eat, but also through the awareness with which we choose to take care of our body.
In my work as a consultant for the benessere, I meet people who want to feel better, find more balance and improve their lifestyle. Often, however, we look for an immediate solution without stopping to reflect on a fundamental aspect: how long have we been neglecting our daily habits?
Disordered eating, sedentary lifestyle, hurried meals and poor attention to food quality can affect our benessere. For this reason, I believe it is important to know paths that help develop greater awareness and put self-care back at the center.
One of these is EasyDetox, the method devised by Dr. Patrizio Hermes Barbon.
Dr. Patrizio Hermes Barbon is a surgeon, specialist in pediatrics, who has also dealt with consulenza nutritional and benessere intestinal. His work has paid attention to the relationship between nutrition, intestines and salute of the person.
When we talk about intestines, in fact, we are not just referring to digestion. We are talking about an organ that performs essential functions and hosts the intestinal microbiota, an ecosystem composed of billions of microorganisms that interact with our body.
From this interest in food and benessere the development of the EasyDetox method was born, a structured path that aims to accompany people towards a greater attention to their habits.
Every day our body is exposed to substances from the environment, food and pollution. Added to this are the products of normal cellular metabolism, which the body must transform and eliminate.
To perform these functions we have fundamental physiological systems.
The liver transforms numerous substances, making them more easily usable or disposable. The kidneys filter the blood and contribute to the elimination of waste products through the urine. The intestine participates in the elimination of digestive waste, while the lungs eliminate carbon dioxide. The skin also performs protective and regulatory functions, although it is not a main route of elimination of toxins.
These organs work continuously to maintain the internal balance of the body.
Taking care of yourself also means creating the most favorable conditions for these systems to properly perform their functions.
A varied and balanced diet, adequate hydration, regular movement and attention to food quality are important elements of this process.
We cannot avoid all forms of environmental exposure, but we can intervene in many of our daily habits. And it is precisely from here that a greater awareness of the benessere.
EasyDetox is a method devised by Dr. Patrizio Hermes Barbon that proposes a guided path of attention to nutrition and benessere bowel transit.
The method was presented in 2015 at the Milan Expo dedicated to nutrition and has been developed through training programmes and activities.
The idea behind the course is to dedicate a specific period to reorganising one's habits, paying more attention to food, the regularity of meals and the relationship with one's body.
When I talk about detoxification, I think it is important to clarify one concept: our body already has physiological mechanisms for the transformation and elimination of substances. A nutritional course should not be presented as a miraculous cleanse, but can be an opportunity to improve habits that contribute to benessere general.
The actual contribution of EasyDetox must be evaluated in relation to the specific indications of the program and the available scientific evidence. It is not correct to say that such a route eliminates all forms of pollution or that it guarantees the removal of specific toxins without adequate evidence.
The value of a mindful approach is above all in learning to pay more attention to what we do every day.
The gut microbiota plays an important role in our body. The microorganisms that compose it participate in the transformation of some components of food, the production of metabolites and interactions with the immune system.
Its composition can be influenced by several factors, including diet, medications, environment and lifestyle.
A diet that includes fiber, vegetables, fruits, legumes and whole grains also helps to provide useful substances to intestinal microorganisms. Conversely, a poorly varied diet can make it more difficult to meet different nutritional needs.
This does not mean that every disorder depends on the intestine or that it is always necessary to follow a detox program. It means recognizing that the salute intestinal is an important component of the benessere and that deserves attention.
Swelling, heaviness and digestive difficulties, when they persist, should be evaluated with a healthcare professional, without automatically attributing them to an alleged accumulation of toxins.
In everyday life it often happens to eat quickly, choose foods for convenience or neglect movement. Sometimes we only become aware of these habits when we start to feel less fit.
An organized path can help us stop, observe our behavior, and identify areas for improvement.
It can be an opportunity to pay more attention to food quality, diet variety, hydration and regularity of meals. It can also encourage reflection on the relationship between nutrition, physical activity and benessere booklet.
The bottom line is that change should not be limited to the duration of the program. The habits we learn must be able to be maintained even later, within a sustainable lifestyle.
A detox course is not essential for everyone and does not replace a medical evaluation. In the presence of pathologies, pharmacological therapies or special nutritional needs, it is advisable to consult with your doctor before embarking on programs that involve significant food restrictions.
In my work, I consider it essential to guide people towards more conscious choices, without promising automatic results and without presenting a single method as the solution for everyone.
Being a counsellor means informing, listening and helping people to understand what habits can be improved. It also means recognizing the limitations of your role and referring to a healthcare professional when needed.
EasyDetox can be an opportunity to devote more attention to oneself, as long as it is addressed with realistic expectations, appropriate indications and respect for individual needs.
We don't have to wait until we feel bad to start taking care of our bodies. We can start from the shopping we do, the quality of our meals, the water we drink and the movement we manage to put into the day.
The benessere does not depend on a single food or a few days' schedule. It is built through many choices, repeated over time.
The real question is this: how much space are you dedicating today to taking care of your body and how much could you do to improve your daily habits?
